DreamCatcher Readership Survey!

Hey guys! I created a little survey to see what kinds of folks I have reading this comic, and I'd really appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes to fill it out! You can find it here!

If you like DC for its writing and characters, check out my webnovel Kody over on Tapas! It's got vampires who are mortal, were-creatures that aren't wolves, and some reluctant humans that have to put up with them all.

If you like monsters, why not check out my Society6 shop:

Would you still read DC if it moved away from a traditional comic format? (There would still be art.)

Chapter 12: Page 17

I Say...

Hazumirein says,

Yeah, I have to admit, part of the reason this wasn't done last week is because there are just so many characters on it D: Group shots take so long it's not even funny. But! This is the last you'll be seeing of Riza's Earth friends for awhile, so I thought they deserved a nice page to themselves and their antics.

Actually, just for the record, pretty much none of those little "memories" of Riza's are made up. Every one of those were at least inspired by things my friends and I did in middle school. Some of them are adjusted for entertainment value; some of them actually happened just like that (for example, we taped a young gym teacher to the wall, not the irritating English teacher behind Mr. I's character, but Aiden's hoagie line and Mel's "check your fly" sign actually happened pretty much like that. I also distinctly recall us all walking down the hall with Aiden and Kari arguing angrily about SOMETHING, but at this point I have no idea what. Which is why there's no text there.)

That all said, yes, with the next update we should be moving back into Rokenthia. For quite awhile. The rest of this chapter gets us started on what I affectionately refer to as "the summer arc", being that it takes place over Riza's summer vacation. It's quite a long arc, composed of several smaller story arcs. Don't let what I call it fool you though; this is where things start to get serious. Some rather important plot events happen over the next several chapters. Important new characters are introduced, you find out a lot of interesting and sometimes surprising information, there are some tense moments among the cast, and ultimately there's a pretty climactic event that will hopefully have you all on the edges of your seats for awhile.

But! Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Question of the update: If you could pick one of Riza's friends to be friends with, who would it be? I'm talking Earth friends; the ones on this page, not the Rokenthia kids. Anyway, stay tuned for some filler, and we /should/ be back to normal updates next week. Sorry I've been lacking in pages the past couple weeks; it's really been crazy D: But I'll see you all next week.

And You Say...

Tessan12 says,

I will take....

... AIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stolloss says,

"I want a Hoagie."

Best line right there. His face in that panel makes it complete.

As for friends, I'm going to have to go with Mel. The explanation is complicated.

Erro (Guest) says,

I'd have to take Aiden. But since he's totally a dreamer (because I said so) and all, therefore technically a part of Rokenthia (inside of my own mind) I can't pick him in my own terms.

Aiden is such a bro.

SevenOverthree says,

Taped Teacher

Our school did that to our principal on his last day there - we taped him several feet above ground level, to the wall of the gym (I think it was the last day of school, as well).
I recall that he found it amusing, unlike Mr. I, there. XD

SoulRaider116 says,

Hoagie....more PA speak. I'm loving it.

Comments, anyone?
