Hey guys! I created a little survey to see what kinds of folks I have reading this comic, and I'd really appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes to fill it out! You can find it here!
If you like DC for its writing and characters, check out my webnovel Kody over on Tapas! It's got vampires who are mortal, were-creatures that aren't wolves, and some reluctant humans that have to put up with them all.

Well...yeah. I don't really know how else to say this.
You may have noticed lately that I've had a hard time keeping updates on time, if I get them up at all. A lot of that is due to lack of time, what with college and work and everything else, but...in a way it's also a lack of motivation.
See, the farther I get into DC, the more I realize that I wrote most of this stuff when I was like, 14, and while I've been trying to salvage the story since...I just keep finding one plot hole after another, and the more I try to fix them, the more I feel like I'm just going to write myself into a corner that I really can't get out of. This story needs work. A lot of it. So it is with a heavy heart that I let you all know what I'm taking a break from it. I don't know when it'll be back, and I don't know if it'll continue from this point or start from scratch. But I need to step away from it for awhile and work out all the kinks before I can't do that anymore.
I'm REALLY sorry, you guys. Like you have no idea. I don't want five years of this to go to waste, but...it just seems like it's for the best.
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I won't be doing any comics in the meantime. If any of you follow me on Tumblr, you may have noticed that I've been playing around with a new project I'm calling No Yellow Bricks. It's kind of a fan thing, technically--a comic adaptation of the fairy tale story that goes with Marianas Trench's album Ever After. See, the band gave us the story kind of in summary, and it's a cool concept, but...it's not that long and there's some inconsistencies and whatnot. Partly in order to practice fixing plot and other problems, I'm taking it, fleshing it out, and drawing it out. Should be interesting. You won't have to be familiar with the band to understand it (though you won't get all the jokes, haha)--it should be able to stand alone--but I do recommend them as they are amazing :D (sorry, favorite band, haha). If you'd like to you can check out a couple songs here and here.
Anyway...I realize this is a lot to digest. Like I said, I'm really sorry. DC will return one day, promise. Meanwhile, No Yellow Bricks should have kind of a similar premise, so maybe it'll fill the void for the moment. I won't be putting quite the same effort into the art that I do for DC, but it will be in color! That's a nice change, right? :D
But, I'll see you guys soon.
UPDATE: Because apparently I actually managed to confuse a few of you, THIS IS A JOKE. Look at the post date, seriously. April Fool's. DC's not going anywhere.
Though I was totally serious about the other project part, it won't be taking priority over DC. Nothing will.
@Seth: My yearly rickrolls are becoming such a tradition that I can't NOT do them now. I just don't expect to fool anybody anymore XD. And the third link was mainly for my amusement and I wasn't expecting any of you to understand.
