DreamCatcher Readership Survey!

Hey guys! I created a little survey to see what kinds of folks I have reading this comic, and I'd really appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes to fill it out! You can find it here!

If you like DC for its writing and characters, check out my webnovel Kody over on Tapas! It's got vampires who are mortal, were-creatures that aren't wolves, and some reluctant humans that have to put up with them all.

If you like monsters, why not check out my Society6 shop:

Would you still read DC if it moved away from a traditional comic format? (There would still be art.)

Chapter 17: Cover

August 27th, 2012, 11:00 am

I Say...

Hazumirein says,

For the record, this cover came out way more...ominous looking...than I intended. This chapter isn't THAT dark.

Obviously everyone who guessed Maya was half-panther was correct. And honestly there's no special reason that the panther is on the cover other than I wanted to draw it, so don't go over-analyzing :B

Iiii don't really have much else to say to be honest, so Question of the Update: We now know that two of the Dreamers are a wolf and a panther. Take some guesses at what some of the others will be.

And You Say...

zetina says,

That's a gorgeous panther.

(no guesses because)

Shiny pokemons!! says,

There could pribably be a bear, a Tiger, possibly a bird, or a mouse maybe?

PiMaster says,

Are half-animals necessarily mammalian? Could there be a half-lizard?

Hazumirein says,

@PiMaster: Any real animal is game. Mammals, reptiles, birds, whatever. So yes, there could be a half-lizard.

Drakeflame13 says,

Is this where riza learns to transform?

JAikman says,

Lion and tiger and bear? O my.
XD couldn't resist

Malkus says,

So not quite a half-monkey....darn.

I can already imagine Luna's frustration: "ANOTHER kid to look after! Where's that old geezer?"

pegasiger says,

o_O DRAGON!!!!...ahem sorry

Tom Pokénutter (Guest) says,

Perhaps a half-rabbit?

lordseth (Guest) says,

Black Panthers aren't South American are they? Or am I an ignorant fool?
If I'm not, then I guess that could mean dreamers don't have to exactly correspond with a local animal. Though maybe Maya has a pet cat, like Riza has a pet dog. That would be very interesting if what your pet was the key to what your animal half was.
Going on with that about a bat, deer of some kind, a monkey, and a Penguin (for Antarctica)

Hazumirein says,

@Seth: There are panthers in South America. Black jaguars, specifically, which is what Maya is. To my knowledge, any big cat with a black color morph is referred to as a "panther". I think it occurs in jaguars, leopards, cougars...and maybe one or two other species I'm forgetting. (Yes, I googled all this stuff at one point or another).

Also, the Dreamers don't HAVE to be an animal found on their continent, but they typically are.

Your pet theory is interesting, except that I don't know anyone who has a pet bat, deer, or penguin :P (Though my friend's boyfriend apparently has a bat problem in his house, so I guess that's almost like having them as pets XD)

Also, I'm debunking that theory for good now; Maya has a pet border collie :P

Shaede The Black Eevee says,

.... she looks like me. Black fur, neko, long hair... I even understand the spanish.

Comments, anyone?
