DreamCatcher Readership Survey!

Hey guys! I created a little survey to see what kinds of folks I have reading this comic, and I'd really appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes to fill it out! You can find it here!

If you like DC for its writing and characters, check out my webnovel Kody over on Tapas! It's got vampires who are mortal, were-creatures that aren't wolves, and some reluctant humans that have to put up with them all.

If you like monsters, why not check out my Society6 shop:

Would you still read DC if it moved away from a traditional comic format? (There would still be art.)

Chapter 27: Page 15

I Say...

Hazumirein says,

Leave it to Riza to cut off an old lady.

Yes, I am aware that it's been like 2 and a half weeks since I've updated. I have been busy and there have been a lot of shitty things going on that haven't exactly done wonders for my motivation to come home after an 8 hour office day and draw comics. That said, it looks like most of said shitty things have worked themselves out at this point (the universe just decided to trip me and then felt bad and helped me up, basically), so I'm on an upswing at the moment. If it could just, you know, stay this way for a couple weeks that'd be cool.

Question of the Update: So, how do you think they found Earth's gate?

And You Say...

Browser says,

Life happens... it is icky... that's why we invented gumboots and rubber gloves.

As for the Gate, is it possible that the stones weren't actually tied to any one gate and that they attuned to the first gate they used? Could they have been looking specifically for a world that had humans and Earth simply happened to be the world with humans that had the same geographical layout as Sanvolae? Maybe the stones act as a guide to their gate if you ask them to? So many possibilities.

Browser says,

Also, there's something screwy about the commenting feature here, the "close" button you get after replying to a comment doesn't close the window/tab. Also, it doesn't (automatically) open the "post your comment" page in a new window/tab (which is probably related).

KingKomodo (Guest) says,

As browser said life isn't all sunshine and rainbows so always keep a raincoat handy. As for the stones could be sheer luck they found the door in the first place or perhaps they all found a different door that lead to a different version of earth which would mean Maya wouldn't necessarily be from the south america that Riza knows. Hmmmm...

Lore (Guest) says,

When a person opens their mind they can fell the dreamstone. It's kind of like a tugging, a feeling or thought to go this way or that. The stones consciousness, if it can be called that, is connected to the dream world. As such it "knows" where to take you based on the thoughts of your mind.

BrokenBeat&Scarred (Guest) says,

7 stones suggest 7 dragons were sealed. Presumably, Light, Shadow and Spirit wouldn't have been as integral as they were to the life cycles of the world. We know the first dispute was between Light and Shadow. This suggests to me that Spirit guided the searchers to Earth. Makes sense that the dragon who "guided the eternal souls of all living things" would know where to find the souls who were most in tune with those of Sanvolae.

last panel

Is the comment in the last panel ment to answer my question about how Luna traversed the gates?

EstherQuesada says,

Problem with the homepage???

I think there's a problem with your homepage. I use to check your comic out every week but this time is taking me to my own profile, distorted as if the html code was corrupted. If I go directly to the last page (in this case, chapter 27 page 15, I can still read the comic in its original format.

Just wanted to mention that. Anyway, I like the story and I hope you'll be able to continue it soon. Have a nice weekend! :)

Hazumirein says,

@EstherQuesada: Should be fixed now. I just forgot to renew my premium subscription to SmackJeeves which lets me use my own domain name, so it switched it back to the SJ domain until I renewed it.

EstherQuesada says,

@Hazumirein: It is fixed now, yay! Thanks! :) Again, great work!

Comments, anyone?
