I haven't done one of these since I hit...I believe it was the 150 fans mark. But, 300's a pretty big number, and despite this being a few weeks late, I thought it was worth celebrating a little.
I haven't exactly been talking much with the updates lately, not even replying to a lot of comments. Partly due to being busy, partly due to not really having that much to say. Which kind of irritates me, 'cause I like talking to you guys and I feel that reader/creator interaction is really important for a webcomic artist. I guess what I really want to say is that I work pretty hard on this comic, and I really, seriously appreciate all you guys that take the time to read it (and even moreso those who leave me comments and things :3). Being that my original excuse of it being my high school senior project is not longer valid, my only real justifications for keeping up with DC are that I enjoy it, and I have people reading that expect me to keep going, haha.
TL;DR: I just wanted to remind you guys that I really appreciate you :3 *hug*
Anyway, the words stuffed in the background of this pic are the lyrics to "Beside You" by Marianas Trench. I've recently totally fallen in love with this band, and that song in particular is super pretty and I thought it fit here. If you haven't noticed yet, you'll probably catch eventually that friendship/camaraderie is a major theme in DC. It's probably not too obvious yet, but eventually you'll start to see how much these guys all care about each other (and so will they XD). I know it's cheesy, but it's something that means a lot to me personally and that carries over a lot into my stories. So get used to it XD.
Anyway! On that note, in a way I consider all you readers my friends :D You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.
Oh yeah, on the topic of fan/creator interaction, I must encourage you all once again to come hang out with me and each other at the DC forums :3 I talk a lot there, and am more than happy to answer questions and explain things and just BS with you people about whatever miscellaneous topics there are XD.
EDIT: Hm. Note to self: new layout is not landscape-pic friendly. Oh well.
Nice. I recently found this, and I have to say, I'm loving the story. I remember when my brother and I got our OWN dreamcatchers from our stepmom. And when I got that Navajo keychain plate with a lizard design on it. Apparently the lizard is the mark of the dreamer in the Navajo mysticism thing, if I remember correctly. So basically, I'm someone who dreams big or something.
